*Gel candles should not be burned for long period of time. Always burn on a fire safe plate and never leave candle unattended. Only burn for short periods of time and always trim your wick before each use. If your candle is creating black smoke you need to trim the wick. Stop burning your candle when the wick gets close to the bottom of the candle or when the flame gets close to decorations. When you are finished with your candle, let the gel cool entirely and gently pull the remaining gel out. Wash your container with warm water and soap and enjoy your container!Ā
